About Us

SF Tots runs soccer and basketball themed child-development classes for young children.  We are locally owned and have been running classes in San Francisco since 2007. SF Tots Soccer is for kids ages 18 months to 6 years old. Our Hoops program is for children 2 1/2 to 6 years old. Our programs teach motor skills, communication, teamwork and introduces the sport in a fun, non-competitive environment.

Meet the Owner

Coach Brian

In 2012, I made the decision to change careers and what a great decision it was. Becoming a small business owner was always a dream of mine, but I was more inclined to do something like start a restaurant since my dad had owned one before I was born. But my path shifted towards kids and sports. My first day checking out the SF Tots program was eye opening into the world of kids. I was standing there waiting for kids to arrive when a little girl runs up to me with a smile and says "Hi I am Saya!" The class started and that's all it took. I was ready for a whole new adventure. 

I have grown so much as a child educator thanks to our coaches, the kids in our program and my family; Ligia and our son, Wesley, who is now 7 years old. Our coaches are amazing and I've learned so much from them. When I first started they were the key to my growth. As I found my footing, it was the kids who started shaping me as a coach. Kids are honest with their emotions and I learned what worked and what didn't. Also, kids have a vivid imagination and they often give me ideas for new games to play or a new way to play it. Ligia was my inspiration to change careers since she was a teacher when we first met. The joy her students gave her was contagious and I wanted to impact lives in a similar manner. Wesley is at the center of my world and he's taught me so much in terms of fun and imaginative play. 

The SF Tots family is always growing whether new kids entering our program, those that have been with us discovering new things about themselves, or a new coach joining the fun world of kid sports.
